Artur Runge Metzger, the European Commission’s top negotiator, notes the successes from this round of negotiations. He mentions that a set of decsions are needed on which particular areas to focus and agree on, such as capacity building, technology and adaptation. He considers the architectural issues on governance finance, reporting and verification in relation. He finishes on explaining how the EU is driving the process forward to establish the next commitment period to the Kyoto Protocol.
