Droughts and floods have a great impact on Albania's energy sector. Changes in weather have caused electrical power cuts, crop shortages and other problems at the main source of energy production – the River Drin. Currently, efforts are underway to address these challenges and improve resource use efficiency. The Government of Albania has made energy supply a main priority.
