Harry Verhaar (December 2009)

Where: Copenhagen: COP15 UN Climate Change Conference 2009

Haary Verhaar from Philips expresses his concern that there is too little action on energy efficiency, for a sustainable society to be realised. His hopes from the conference include better implementation projects as there are huge opportunities for emissions reductions from lighting. He details how Philips is leading this global transition away from incandescent lighting, with additional fringe benefits for health, education and cost. Also see Harry Verhaar presenting at the Sustainable Living and Sustainable Building side event at Copenhagen, and speaking from Poznan in 2008.
