Mark Kenber (December 2009)

Where: Copenhagen: COP15 UN Climate Change Conference 2009

Climate Group’s Policy Director, Mark Kenber, explains his hope for an agreement, highlighting the key areas of targets, financing and reporting. He refers to the need to transform the global economy to a low-carbon society. He notes the gap between what should happen on the ground, and high-level policy discussions, pointing out that actions will be down to the public and private sector – outside of government policy. Also see Lord Stern, speaking from Copenhagen. And Achim Steiner, Executive Director of UNEP, again speaking from Copenhagen
