Brazilian Ambassador for Climate Change Sergio Barbosa Serra talks about his country’s “clean” energy mix and its problems with deforestation, which he says still accounts for nearly two-thirds of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. He talks about how Brazil can play a leadership role in the development of bioenergy and the use of other renewable energy sources. And he discusses Brazil’s role in the upcoming Copenhagen meetings and talks about the benefits of extending the Kyoto Protocol beyond 2012.
