This feature on the UNCCD photo contest shows the  memorable images that illustrate the problem of desertification. The video includes UN dignataries, UNCCD Executive Secretary, Luc Gnacadja, and images from more than 1,000 entries, including the winning entry. Photographer Wanda Lopaz Trelles, an Argentinean who won the prize for the best photo taken in Argentina, explains the story behind her image. Contest sponsors Irrigabrasil, San Disk, and Entico are also introduced.
