Su Wei (April 2009)

Where: Bonn 2009: 7th AWG KP & 5th AWG LCA

Su Wei, the head of the Chinese delegation in Bonn and the head of China’s National Leading Group on Climate Change, says that the talks leading to an agreement in Copenhagen are “just” on track. Su says that climate change is an important topic back home, and says that public opinion is fuelling some of the country’s mitigation efforts. But he adds developed countries should be doing more to confront the issue. Also see Su Wei speaking from Poznan in 2008. And Xie Zhenhua, Minister for National Development and Reforms, China speaking from Copenhagen
