Yvo de Boer (April 2009)

Where: Bonn 2009: 7th AWG KP & 5th AWG LCA

UNFCCC director Yvo de Boer updates the negotiating process at the 1/3 mark between Poznan and Copenhagen, saying that important work is being done. He argues that non-UN meetings in 2009 are helpful to the UN process and discusses the challenge of developing sustainable energy policies during an economic crisis and areas where he sees convergence in the process and where convergence is lacking. Also see Yvo de Boer speaking from Copenhagen, Barcelona in 2009, Bangkok in 2009 and Bonn in June 2009
