Natalia specialises in constitutional law and works with a Columbian NGO who promote changes in environmental regulations and the protection of human rights in Columbia. Natalia explains that there is a disparity between the official climate commitments made by the Columbian president and what is actually happening in Columbia. She said the country has been opened up to the agricultural lobby, oil and coal exploration and lack of stringent environmental policy makes it difficult to curb the impacts of companies on the environment. Finally she tells Climate Home that there is not a very strong Columbian NGO presence at COP21 although there is a strong Columbian youth presence.
