Rio+20: Vietnam feeling the impacts of climate change

Rio+20 (16/06/2012) – Dr Nguyen Chu Hoi, Hanoi University of Science talks about the vulnerabilities facing the country from climate change.

He explains that with two large deltas in the country – one in the north and one in the south – which contain vast areas of low lying land, Vietnam is very sensitive to flooding as sea water encroaches on the land.

He explains that there are many challenges facing the country, when it comes to adapting in these sensitive areas.
