COP18 (01/12/12) – John Nduna, General Secretary, Act Alliance talks about his work with local communities who are facing disaster and humanitarian situations. He describes his organisation’s work building capacity, and limiting vulnerability to disasters.
He talks about their work in Bangladesh helping to build renewable energy capacity, including solar and wind, working at a local level to create sustainable projects. He says that while they can look at renewable energy they need the developed world to come in a support such projects.
He also talks about their work in Malawi where they help to ensure that programmes are helping communities on the ground and are building climate change resilience.
