Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network

Lisa from the Seychelles and Brianna from Samoa talk to Climate Home about their first time at COP. Brianna shares her environmental project she set up at age 11 called Small Voices. Brianna started composting, recycling and carpooling initiatives in her school, and then made a pack to replicate these projects in others schools. Now the project has been taken to local communities and includes tree planting and community marches. Lisa works for a youth led NGO whose main project is tackling the plastic bag problem in Seychelles, which affects marine life and local biodiversity.  Lisa and Brianna want a legally binding deal that includes youth, gender and oceans. They want a 1.5-degree limit and believe once you save the islands, you save the world.
