Bertrand introduces the Solar Impulse project, an airplane that flies day and night with no fuel whatsoever. It is currently on a round the world flight to show what can be achieved with clean technology. Bertrand does not agree with activists that it’s useful to protest anymore, he thinks at COP21 everyone is already convinced about the need for climate action and what is needed is presenting solutions in the negotiating room. He explains that five years ago we had the solutions but they were too expensive, today they are affordable. He is optimistic that COP21 will be successful and tells Climate Home that what’s new is the understanding that the clean tech revolution is an advantage for economy and industry
