Rio+20: We need courageous actions by world leaders to protect oceans

Rio+20 (16/06/2012) – Richard Delaney, President & CEO, Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies says we can not solve the oceans’ problems unless everyone in the world is working together and Rio+20 offers a very important step in gathering people from across the world to talk about global ocean issues.

He hopes that the enthusiasm seen here will be taken back to countries and be implemented on the ground, both nationally and at a local level. He calls for courageous action from politicians as well as for individuals to once again ‘think globally, act locally’ and protect the environments in their local neighbourhoods and live more sustainably.
