Rio+20 (16/06/2012) – J. Golo Pilz, Advisor on Solar Energy working in India with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University talks to Pavilion TV about the work the organisation is doing with renewable energy.
They aim to develop and demonstrate renewables for institutions and currently have a solar cooker which makes 30,000 meals a day at their center in India. They aim to establish technologies that can be tested and improved so that costs can be brought down to such a level that everyone can access it.
He says he believes individuals have a lot of power as consumers – particularly if working collectively – and that it is important to combine technology with ethics for a lasting effect and to change the current negative trend.
