CBD COP11: Great ape numbers offer yardstick on environmental awareness

With mining and the clearance of forests for the expansion of palm oil plantations pushing them out of their natural habitats, their numbers are dwindling. He says humans are in direct competition with great apes, he hopes we will have the “good grace” not to push them off the planet.
