Manitou Group is a French company who build, design and manufacture machines for the agricultural and construction industry. Michel explains that these industries are facing challenges of mechanization, performance and efficiency. 90% of carbon dioxide emissions of a machine in their total lifecycle is due to fuel consumption and in this sector there are no regulations in place to reduce fuel consumption. Manitou Group has decided to implement an internal protocol that reduces fuel consumption in their machines, which is measured and analysed by an external company. Michel thinks that having clear targets for carbon dioxide reduction in the long term is important
