COP18: Ignoring indigenous knowledge is a missed opportunity

COP18 (03/12/12) – Peter Yu, Chairman of the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance says there is currently a missed opportunity in appreciating the skills and traditional knowledge systems of indigenous people globally.

In Australia he said this is about the oldest living traditional culture providing solutions to a very modern problem – climate change.

He talks about a project in Northern Australia which aims to bring this knowledge and join it up with modern science.
