COP18 (04/12/12) – Serdar Sarigul, General Director and Executive Committee Member for TEMA talks about tackling soil erosion in Turkey.

He talks about his organisation’s work protecting natural habitats and encouraging rural development. He talks about the important roles that their volunteers play in this work within Turkey.

He says that they have pushed for a law on the protection and improvement of soils and are now trying to get a law implemented on the protection and management of water. He says they are working with all stakeholders including scientists, civil society, government bodies and citizens.

He talks about the range of environmental and nature issues that are apparent in Turkey.
