COP20 (08/12/14) – Chizuru Aoki talks about GEF’s new programme on sustainable cities. She describes how the programme seeks to work with cities on adaptation, mitigation and natural resource management, amongst other issues, providing both finance and technical support. She discusses how the programme will encourage capacity building, south-south cooperation and explains how the sustainable cities programme relates to the organisation’s existing work on transportation.
