Xiuhtezcatl represents Earth Guardians, an organisation of thousands of young people working to build positive, creative and action-orientated climate solutions and global youth movement. They are at COP21 send the message that youth voices need to be represented and to hold global leaders accountable. Xiuhtezcatl tells Climate Home that it’s hard to get governments to listen as they care about politics, money position and status. For youth it’s about the survival of their generation. He wants global leaders t do their job and represent their people, and what the young people want is to pass on a world and a legacy they can be proud of. Finally, he comments that COP21 is not the end goal for climate change and that working on the ground will still be needed to ensure the impacts of climate change will not continue to be felt in the future
