Rio+20: Architects’ mission for the next 20 years

Rio+20 (13/06/2012) – Marco Casamonti, Architect of the Italian Pavilion explains how the Pavilion aims to showcase what can be done with simple designs and simple materials being entirely made from recycled materials, entirely recyclable and generating its energy through the use of solar panels.

Casamonti tells Pavilion TV that architects must realise the footprint of people’s homes and lifestyles and how buildings have been built and designed in a way that uses a lot of energy. But they are also in a good condition to influence this pattern and create homes that continue to give people a good quality of life without using this negative impact.
