COP18: World leaders need more climate change empathy

COP18 (06/12/12) – His Holiness Shri Shri 1008 Soham Baba founder of the Soham Baba Mission says a global solution to climate change at the UN would come sooner if world leaders showed more empathy with those worst affected.

“The world leaders are missing the green awareness that is the missing link. They need more empathy, to visualise what is happening to those affected by climate disasters, the people in the Sundarbans that don’t have enough to eat. We don’t have to wait for governments, we need action and this can happen in parallel to the UN,” he says,

The climate crisis is a collective problem and that negotiators at the talks will not find the solution by passing the blame from one country to another, he adds.
