COP19 (14/11/2013) – Antoine Ebel, President of the CliMates research project describes his team’s ‘COP in my City’ initiative. He advocates young people to start their own climate change negotiations closer to home. CliMates will offer training about the science behind climate change, what has been achieved at the most recent COPs and what needs to be discussed at future negotiations.
Ebel hopes this will limit the drop in activity young people face after COP negotiations. He says COP in my City will try to continue pressuring governments to fully engage with climate change issues.
