COP18 (30/11/12) – Stephane Pouffary, President of Energies 2050 talks about the interconnectedness of climate issues. He says his organisation does not work on separate issues but tries to use a more rounded approach to the low carbon transition.
He uses the example of a city, and that while great advances could be made in low-carbon building management, this would be undermined if these buildings existed in a bad city environment.
He talks about some of his organisation’s projects including the Sustainable Building and Climate Initiative with UNEP which aims to get technologies accredited within the CDM.
He says Doha has to deliver on finance, and that concrete pledges must be put on the table.
