COP19 (14/11/12) – Stephanie Hodge a Programme Specialist on Education at UNICEF speaks about the role at UNICEF in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan and furthering the voice of young people.
UNICEF hopes to look at the education system and how it will be impacted in the aftermath of the Typhoon and other natural disasters. She speaks of how education will become the focus of the reconstruction efforts in trying to rebuild with buildings adapted towards climate change.
She also talks about UNICEF’s interest in decision making and how decisions effecting children should be made with children.
