Vidal Garza Cantu, Director, FEMSA, Mexico talks about why dealing with climate change is a priority for the multinational company.

He says FEMSA is working to improve its operations in order to withstand the impacts of climate change.

Cantu explains that because climate change is predicted to increase the intensity and frequency of flooding and droughts, FEMSA has been working with GEF since 2011 across South America in order to understand the impact climate change will have on the water industry.

He says businesses are beginning to understand the value of natural capital, in other words, more and more businesses are beginning to incorporate the value of nature into their decision-making processes.

Cantu believes helping nature through investment is the right path towards tackling climate change.
