Katharine J. Mach, Carnegie Science

Katherine explains that the IPCC plays a unique role in bringing all the scientists in the world to look at all the data we have about climate change. When asked whether carbon pricing should be institutionally supported by the IPCC, Katharine explains that in order to get o zero emissions in this century we have to use all of the tools that we have. Finally she comments on the need to communicate IPCC reports effectively and clearly to different groups of people. A range of communication products such as factsheets, summaries and videos that explain high level technical information to easier layman’s terms are essential.
