CBD COP11: Common ground for people and tigers

CBD COP11 (08/10/12) – Dr RBS Rawat, principal chief conservator of forests, Uttarakhand province, discusses the importance of forest’s biodiversity with Pavilion TV.

Dr Rawat also suggest how ventures like ecotourism can help to bring developmental benefits to forests while protecting Indian forest’s endangered species such as tigers and the Musk Deer.

“The main challenge is to strike a balance between development, and protecting our rich biodiversity,” he says.
