COP19 (18/11/13) – Ville Niinistö, Minister of the Enivironment, Finland, talks about how we need to act as one planet rather than separate countries. Everyone needs to put aside their political difference and act together to mitigate climate change, help developing companies adapt and put in place a loss and damage mechanism.

Finland is also looking to lead in discussions to address mitigation and financing gaps. Niinistö says Finland has already increased its climate financing by a third, is heavily financing the Green Climate Fund and is also making headway in renewable energy which now makes up 30% of its energy mix today.
