COP19: Edward Helme on public-private financing mechanisms

COP19 (20/11/13) – Edward A. “Ned” Helme, President for the Center for Clean Air Policy, says although Parties taking part in the talks may seem divided when it comes to finance, exciting things are happening in the side lines.

He uses the UK and Germany’s $80 million project proposals in Columbia, Chile, Indonesia and Costa Rica as an example of how policy, combined with private sector financial mechanisms can work.

Helme is hopeful other companies will be inspired to follow suit this example.
